So it seems:
So that was the last outing for the @MarrShow scooter titles. Next week it's all change. Here's a sneak peak! pic.twitter.com/TUCei9fnrD

The car was swapped for a scooter when the show began at Broadcasting House in September 2012.
He used to have a green car? how long was the scooter in use for.

The new title sequence feels shorter and more "static" - Marr standing against backdrops of the Houses of Parliament, looking down at his (turquoise, to keep the running theme of the turquoise car and scooter) phone and then New Broadcasting House.
Very few changes to the set; new coverings on the chair and sofa and that's about it.
A bit of an anti-climax, really, and not the most auspicious of starts for a refresh: very long, ponderous opening interview with Ken Clarke (yawn) and a newspaper reviewer (Tina Brown) failed to make it in so they had to draft in a random political correspondent.

Don't like it.
I much preferred the old one, its seems a bit of a throwback to 10 years ago and too simple, look at me outside parliament on my phone sort of thing.
I hope they don't mess with the Daily Politics.
Looking at it again, they have not spent much money by the looks of it, why touch the old one when you are not going to replace it with something of equal value, I pretty much hate this new one, the more I see of it.

I guess the main reason to replace the scooter version is that Andrew is now someone with a pretty life-altering disability after his stroke.
He can no longer ride a scooter, and walks with a stick a lot of the time, so continuing to start with titles that show him riding a scooter, or striding around in his previous fashion, does seem a little odd. I guess they decided to replace them when it was possible to do so, and to make them so that they reflect Andrew's life as it is now?

I guess they rigged a green screen outside NBH rather than just using Studio A so that the lighting matched the outdoor shots?

Yes, I was commenting about why they did that with a perfectly good green studio in the building.
