New ITV News Logo - Any ideas?

ITV Regional News Browser???????

Whilst checking the ITV Local News browser, I came across a different logo for Meridian News, perhaps this is the new logo or part of the opening?

Theres at lwast one other itv regioin with those style logos - itv border has them for sports updates etc

What does seem odd is that itv recently relaunched its programmes in both the West and Wales and dropped itv from the title of both evening news programmes, yet in the new central news titles it is refred to as itv Central News, have itv had another u-turn and decided to stamp itv in every programme title. I can's imagaine itv Wales Tonight, or itv The West Tonight.

If you look at the image on the bottom carefully, you will see the outline of the middle east. or it looks like that.

Yea it does, cos India is on the very right.

That looks far more professional than the current ITV regional news logos. It also looks like it might have a similar title sequence to the new look Tonight with Trevor.

The Central News logo looks good - I assume when fully formed we get the strip at the end.

I wonder if the network programmes will be branded ITV News, or with their full title considering they are rebranding the 10.30 as "ITV Nightly News".
