I thought something was wrong when the London Weekend Weather bumper was played ... then sure enough it was Saturday's forecast that was played before the plug was pulled.
Alistair been off most if not all week - can't remember. He's like Julie and has had the half term off. He my favourite preesnter by far. Ben just seems a bit dull.
Gobsmacked that London Tonight gets its X Factor footage from YouTube rather than ITV Productions!
Surely it must be possible to get broadcast-quality footage from one of ITV's own recent programmes?!
I suspect that they will be charged to provide the footage, and also possibly to use it - particulary as The X Factor is not an ITV Production, but is made by an independent. However using Youtube isn't a great way of trying to get out of paying to use content - though it does mean you don't have to pay the hundred quid or two that might be charged for dubbing it.
Did anyone notice when it went for the headlines in London during the EN it was Lewis Vaugn Jones (or something like that) but Alisatar and Katie had hosted it tonight. And on the late news it was Ben Scotchbrook.
A question thats just dawned on me after watching behind the scenes of LNN.
What would have happened with LNN if LNN still existed, do you think ITV would have still created the unified look, and what would they have done with the LNN studio, surely it would have been a waste to simply show part of it, especially on long shots.
What I have learnt from watching that is that I'd hate to be an on scene reporter, especially when told to keep talking, to then hand back to Alastair, and then to go to the VT, how very stressful.
Mind you it's very distinctive.
