Alastair and Nina are both live in Trafalgar Square tonight for the lighting up of the Christmas tree.

With the closure of the News Channel it will be interesting to see who presents all the short bulletins over the festive season which would otherwise have been part of an NC presenter's shift.

Will they just use ITV London's own reporters to present the bulletins, or will they pull in the likes of Owen et al?

It'll be interesting who they get to do it later tonight? Faye Barker maybe?

i was just thinking that perhaps we'll see some stability in the presenting stable now that they'll be unable to pull in any on-duty NC presenter.

Mark Owen , the presenter who mainly works on ITV West's The West Tonight.
I wonder if he was originally scheduled to be working on the ITVNC this weekend but was only left with this part of the work to do.
