The odd thing about London Tonight at the moment is that every time I see it thee's someone diffrent presenting, do they have a factory out the back churning out new presenters?

(And will someone please get Jon Gaunt of my TV - if I wanted to listen to his show I'd listen to BBC London. I don't want him - and his audience's views - masquerading as a news item. If I want that sort of "opinion-TV" I'll watch something like Trisha - not a local news programme)

What's his BBC London show like?

Luckily we only get the prat once a week on BBC WM, & he's always bragging about his 'Jagooar', his listening figures against Ed Doolan, him being a 'Cov(entry) kid, his 'footballers mansion', his kids & the 'Village Of The Dammed'', where he lives.

No idea - although you'd be excused for not knowing this - BBC London TV actually covers a wider patch than BBC London 94.9 Radio...

You never get a plug for Radio Berkshire, Radio Oxfordshire, BBC Southern Counties, BBC 3CR, BBC Essex on BBC London's TV output... But then you never get much TV news for non-Greater London areas either...

Hertfordshire, Essex and Kent get covered more than Berkshire, Surrey and Sussex.

Unsurprisingly London Tonight has gone to town on the London terror threat story - chartering a plane to fly Keir Simmons above Canary Wharf.

Right, that'll be another insightful piece of journalism then.

Although am glad they didn't lead with it. Leading the tube drivers working hours was an unusual decision under the new agenda, and I'm rather impressed they decided to.

Spectacular return to form for the new agenda - lead story "I'm A Celebrity - Get Out Of Here" - speaking of how London's celebs are in danger from intruders! Rolling Eyes

And then the unique Kier Simmons reporting from New York...about how Londoners are shopping there. Great (!)

I don't think I can hold out much more hope for the programme ever getting better.

They certainly got their money's worth from sending him to NY - he must have done at least three packages - one on the smoking ban, one on shopping, and a third one which I can't remember.

Last night's shopping feature must have been the best part of a week old, as of course Keir was back in London on Monday for his antics in a plane above Canary Wharf
