Now I have not seen any 6pm editions of London Tonight so I cannot judge fully, but I have watched it on the ITV News Channel tonight for the first time in ages and all I can say is this programme is getting worse. What is the top story, some midwife who got her car clamped in Hounslow! And who is reporting it? Keir Simmons, who is doing some really dodgy moves during this report, his arms folded looking rather peeved off.
Now to me this isn't News, it's like a naff version of Watchdog!
I don't envy the choice of Regional News in London. Even Channel M News is better! (Now for those who don't know it's a News programme on Manchester RSL; Channel M that is presented by Andy Crane)
funnily enough, it's the short bulletins of London Today/Tonight which have actually resembled news programming IMO, unlike the main edition which has become unwatchable for me.
Nice to see Andrew Castle presenting tonight (although it should have been Owen...I think)...and good to see London Tonight leading with a relatively sensible story tonight. Although I'm sure it won't last...
