Also, when did Alistair Stewart lose his professionalism? During his news roundup, the wrong pictures were shown so with his years of experience, he said: "These are the pictures for the British Airways story, so, errr, please ignore them for the moment".

I think this whole programme has fallen to pieces since it's relaunch. I thought I was being too critical so I sat down like a sad sod and monitored the news content tonight - eight minutes of news.

I think it's time I switched back to the BBC local news.Full results of review here

I had been warming to the new-style London Tonight, but this evening's programme plumbed new depths.

Well said. I switched off LDN originally because every news feature was to do with either minority issues or race relations for several weeks. I got bored being told I was living in a racist city when I manage to live a life that racism rarely creeps into. It became a bit preachy. But London Tonight is just cringe worthy. Our nation's captial get's eight minutes of news and then 22 minutes of tat. Even the weather was vague! Rolling Eyes

I prefer a London Tonight style programme, as im not a newsy person. I watch news, I like to know whats going on, but summarys will do for me. This is just my own opinion by the ways!

What was going on on London Tonight, a huge chuck of the programme taken up with a best taxi driver competition. The programme is getting worse and worse

London Tonight is running a text vote on "Should the West End be more pedestrian friendly?"

Honestly, who is going to vote 'no' to that?

They could at least have posed the question slightly differently to make the proposition a bit more contentious.

They should have done "Should they be pedestrianised"

They may as well have asked "Should London be made better?"

Now that is frankly absurd.

It's awful that London Today don't have a regular set of presenters, just who ever is at a loose end from the News Channel.
