Today's bulletins were presented by Sasha Herriman and Heather McCarthy.

Watching LT last week, Katie Derham seems a lot more relaxed with Jonathan Willis than with Alistair.

Has Chris Rogers presented London Today before? He's doing the lunchtime bulletin
(he also did the NC breakfast show today)

No, I don't believe he has. London Today/Tonight must have had at least 10 different presenters at different times. People without the NC or those who are unaware that LT is actually an ITN production must be pretty confused, surely?

Since the relaunch (less than a month ago) I think we've had London bulletins presented by at least 21 different people:

Alastair Stewart
Katie Derham
Jonathan Wills
Joyce Ohajah
Leyla Daybelge
Sasha Herriman
Heather McCarthy
Owen Thomas
Jonathan Morrell
Nick Clark
Lucy Alexander
Lloyd Bracey
Rachel McTavish
John Draper
Sian Jones
Romilly Weeks
Steve Scott
Marcus Powell
Emma Walden
Liz Wickham
Chris Rogers

... and there's probably a few more I've forgotten

That's almost one presenter for each day of the month!

22 presenters in 30 days! It must be a record for any regional news service.

And doesn't really make much sense either. I didn't see the problem with the old service, where Paul Green would do 6.00-13.00. Unless the NC presenters are doing those shifts for free, which i doubt.

Interesting that the News Channel is getting plugged on the London bulletins - not only did Katie tell people to watch the News Channel for the latest on the terrorism arrests, but they have been playing a clip from the NC of the interview Alastair Stewart did with Barbara Cassani

London Today/Tonight does not feel local anymore. It’s just like a mini version of the ITV News channel with any old presenter they can rope into doing it. The old studio was much better and the presenters of the news made it feel local (well sort of). Surprised they still use London Today reporters and not just ITN Reporters. Oh and Keir Simmons is so annoying. The way he turns the tiniest little thing into a big story, e.g. ‘Empty crisp packet on the floor could be used by terrorists to hide bombs in!’

Yes I agree that the amount of presenters used so far has been laughable. Who knows, we'll probably see more in the coming weeks and months.

And I posted something similar about Keir Simmonds a page back. Boy, does he love his sensationalism?! Lurking around Paddington Station with suitcases and hiding them under seats. Rolling Eyes

I couldn't agree with this more...
The London service offered by ITN today is a mere shadow of the service we got even 5 years ago.
If you remember - not so long ago we got a half hour features based magazine show called After5 every night as well as a distinctive news programme made just for Londoners.

Compare the shoddy output of ITV1 London today with that of other major capital cities in the world - it's embarrassing.

AND they are still putting out the St Pauls river shot anamorphic everyday during GMTV!!!!
