Can anyone with HD confirm if LT is in natural HD or upscaled SD?

The graphics and studio is HD but VT's are upscaled.

How is it done then - is the national desk removed to make way for the London Tonight desk and sofas?

No ITN endcap, replaced with an ITV News one.

Thanks for the HD cap dbl. Even in SD, it looks cleaner and sharper.

Is the background feed coming down an analogue line? There's lots of ghosting around the spire of St. Pauls

So after watching London Tonight I echo the thoughts that the studio looks a lot brighter, a lot cleaner.

That being the positive, however there were quite a few glitches in the program.

If you are going to be moving to a set up like the one now then as someone in a gallery you should be sure that you know that if you press a button it will take you to a shot of another studio. There were also some glitches in both Ria Chaterjee's and Emily Morgans reports. It doesn't make it better that Nina got her guests wrong - if they are gonna pad out the program with interviews it's just courtesy to take your guests names seriously. The two athletes were though making light afterwards on twitter.

Did anyone else notice the camera being extremely shaky tonight, and the shot that panned in from Ninas was so randomly introduced that it kind of did make some parts of the bulletin very disjointed.

My final thought goes to the fact that if they are going to decrease the content of reports then at least ensure that it runs smoothly with no hiccups.
