Lucrezia Millarini should have presented the late this evening, Rachel McTavish covered.
Ah so that's where Rachel has disappeared to. I was wondering why she had just disappeared from STV Central screens.
Our loss is London's gain! Hopefully she'll make a return to STV soon!
Rachel does seem to float between covering the ITV News overnight shift (which includes late LT and Daybreak London bulletins) and STV.
I think that's a heck of a long shift from 9:00pm-9:00am it's a 12 hour shift! I would be knackerd doing that!
Such a shift really isn't out of the ordinary in the broadcasting industry. Many crew members work very long shifts covering several programmes and when the ITN News Channel existed, staff would regularly have to rush to the NC control room having just done a network bulletin in order to staff it; so they were busy shifts. And when you're freelance, as I expect Rachel McTavish is, you take whatever shifts you can get. If the option is between doing a 12 hour shift and not working at all, you'd take the 12 hour shift and just get on with it.

Quite. If you're freelance you get paid by the hour and if you're staff, most people would rather work 12 hour days and four day weeks, given the choice.
LT presented this evening by Andrea Byrne which I think is her first time? Freelancer Louise Hulland reporting and Meridian weather freelancer Philippa Drew with the weather from Whiteley.
Interesting that Lucrezia is getting more and more airtime, not necessarily a bad thing but I wonder where this leaves Ben Scotchbrook who I don't think has presented the 6pm in a very long time.
