Alistair covers all except 5.30, yet Mark Austin is Head Anchor or whatever..and all he does is the 6.30 occasionally if its a special story, and NAT most of the time...
That's the way it works in most jobs. No disrespect to Mark, but those higher up the ladder tent to do less than those below them in the pecking order.
Mark anchored both the 6:30 and Ten throughout the Olympics and for a couple days did the 1:30 also. He is the regular deputy for the 6:30 likewise with Julie. Still not as much as Al, he gets around.
Right! Didn't know that was how it was done! Although..Alistair did the This morning update and went all the way up to News at Ten at 10.30 when Superstar was on, and I'm sure he would have been in work
