Remember, during the first few years that ITV1 was yellow, ITV News was teal! After all, there's no reason why a channel and its news bulletins should automatically have the same colour scheme as each other.
Wasn't the whole point of the 'brand realignment' to tie the ITV News brand in with ITV1?

True.
But, in television, a few years having passed can easily bring about yet another change of philosophy (especially if executives and whatnot have changed in the interim?), accompanied with appropriate "corporate speak" phrases to poo-poo the current philosophy (often conveniently overlooking that any proposed "new" approach may well be essentially a return to the previous one!).
I agree that such a reversal seems far from likely, but I was just suggesting caution about *assuming* that the channel and its news will necessarily look alike, until or unless ITV themseleves have confirmed as much (have they done so, and I've spectacularly missed it? ).
But then again, hasn't since been slowly getting integrated for a while now reporters wise? Usually during the ITV1 weekend bulletins, Simon Harris from LT used to pop up now and again for Political reports and so on...
A nice surprise to see ITN sending out LT staffers to Essex to follow the Olympic Flame, Nick Thatcher in Southend and Nina Hossain at Chelmsford's Hylands Park.
Come October, Anglia may be the source of most mid and south Essex copy after the redundancies.
Could Londons late bulletin be presented by news at ten staff? A few months ago there was a rota change which meant Natasha presented the late bulletin after presenting the national news, like London Today the backdrop changed to the London view.
LT has become a mainly sports orientated bulletin, yesterday's 6pm was wholly taken by sport, 25 mins on the Olympics and an interview with David Haye.
Today's contained 18 mins of Olympic filler and 2 mins with the sports correspondent discussing Formula 1.
