On tonight's and yesterday's programme they ended the show on a live shot of London.

Lara Lewington (Five News, BBC Weather (South East Today) made her first appearance tonight on the weather. I wonder if this is permanent.

Philippa Drew covered Saturday and the most surprising, Lucy Kite from ITV Central did Sunday.

The show wasn't much good tonight without Nina & Donal.

I think tonight was quite good.

Although I don't really like "specials" as such, I though it was a nice tribute tonight.

Dam right! You guys just don't know what you got til it's gone, all you know how to do is complain.

You think the guys at ITN are idiots and they just hire any Dave off the street to anchor their show? Donal has had so much experience in investigating top stories and it carries across to the fact that he can present the finished product too.

No offence to him, but he has to be one of the worst presenters on TV at the moment.

Dancing on Ice was quite a while ago!! Why don't you go back further when he used to host those amazing documentaries which he won all his awards for?

Also if you're going to use Dancing on Ice as a reference, Donal was seriously rubbish to begin with but finished first runner up!! Guy works hard and got better, that's why the public liked him. I'm sure it's gonna be the same with everything he does.

Whilst his proberbly a nice guy and a good undercover reporter - his completely not suited to presenting a live news show and i know it isn't just me who thinks it - I think your the first person to think his good!

Also I don't know what makes you think that by coming runner up on DOI , that the public like him? Doing well on a reality show doesn't mean you liked.

Like others have said before if ITV/ITN wanted to sign him up - it should have been for ITV News as a undercover/special investigation correspondent - that he would actually be good at !

Dancing on Ice is a public voted reality show, would the public vote for him if they didn't like him? No. So the easiest equation for you to work out is votes = popular. Same thing with X-Factor votes = popular.

If the boffins at ITV/ITN thought that it would have been a better decision they would have made it. I'm sure they are a lot better people and not as negative/narrow minded as you are.
