ITV London Tonight

I enjoyed watching Charlene and Matt tonight, Charlene seems to have a very bubbly and nice personality.

From the bits I saw she seemed happy to have been let loose on the main programme.

not too bad and although shes obvioulsy done bullietins on her own it was her first "main" bulletin. When Matt first started, I didn't like him that much. Now I think his really good. I think it's because I don't like change!

Easily the best stand-in on LT for a long time, although I don't get why the local newspaper round-up was scrapped and a Florence and the Machine piece by Sangeeta Kandola went out.

Looks like Matt Teale has had his day at London Tonight. From Easter - Donal MacIntyre will join Katie Derham.

Bit surprised really, Donal's forte is investigative journalism, so quite an odd choice of move.

Have to say -I'm rather pleased Teale was only a temporary replacement. He's stiff, boring and unwatchable.

Random post, but do the newsreaders on London Today bulletins sit on a chair, isn't it usually the sofa?

Isn't that because the lunchtime bulletin is done from the main ITV News studio?

Think so - only the long bulletins come from the separate studio which has the sofa (and is non-VR). The short bulletins come from the ITV News studio - which is VR and doesn't have a sofa.

And I was just getting used to Matt Teale! Didn't like him at first, but now think his really good!
R.E. Donal - can't stand him - odd choice I think! It might be like Matt though and in a couple of months I'll think his alright!

Matt was alright but no Alistair, we will see how Donal does on April 6th although I'm not sure if his voice will annoy me too much :S Sorry Donal
