Alex has just said her goodbyes from London Tonight. A Kiss to Alistair, and then an end shot off Alistair hugging Alex.

Alistairs last show tomorrow with Katie who will be giving him a goodbye. All change at London Tonight and ITV News.

Alastair just grabbed her - poor thing! Anyone know where she is moving to within ITN?

She will be next un this Saturday during the 2am update and Sundays ITV morning news. I imagine that if there is a gap in the schedules then she will fill it! She may be back for London Tonight or even the Lunchtime News as she is more then qualified if is nobody to present.

Just thinking about home many female presenters Alistair has said hi and goodbye to over the past what is it 16 years on London Tonight and tomorrow Katie bids goodbye to him on the show.

Great turn out for Als last programme, its been so long he can't even remember who he has worked with. Great to here the original music make a comeback.

Well that is it, I have to say London News will never be the same again. IMO he shouldn't og gone and neither Alex to from the program. Alistair will ahev the lunchtime london news on Monday and then Matt and Katie take it away. Nice to see most of the team there and I couldn't help but giggling at Robin who had crossed arms as the carmeras panned from the team. All those female presenter that Al has sat beside that were featured on that video were not all of them, just to show how many people he has worked beside over the past 16 years on London Tonight. Katie and Al were the best pair for the program IMO and tonight it showed how well they got on with the giggles and laughs. So Alistair goodbye and goodluck on the EN at 6:30

Nice send off, I never thought I'd hear the original LT theme again...

God that old London Tonight music is good! Real instruments just fantastic and still sounds good all these years on.

That's a lovely final blog post from Alastair.
I'm really going to miss him and Katie presenting together.
