There is a new countdown on BBC News 24. It is more 'pumped up' and has miliseconds as well. There is a red box in the corner.

As you've now seen the emphasis is on correspondents around the world, with a red 'radiowave' theme running through them. And a slight re-working of the theme.

You beat me to it! New pictures, new arrangement of the music with additional strings, and new "beaming back the pictures to London" style streaks of red out of and into Satellite dishes... somehow it reminded me of an old DHL advert from years ago which had the music "Ain't No Mountain High Enough..."

I'm sure someone will provide a capture at some point ...

That's the 3rd new version I've seen today - I wonder how many there are? So far the ones I've seen have all had an international theme. No doubt there'll be UK versions to show later in the evening???

I've missed a few mainly due to endless fire alarms at work, but the version ive just seen looks fantastic. The music sounds great am im presuming its another Lowe peice. Im really liking the more international theme. Looks really good.

Now I read that as one of three things.

either BBC1 will change their ident into news
or there is footage of the filming of one of the idents
or disco sissins will be coming a reality (eek)

Nice to see the ITVNC on at 12:13 too along with CNBC

I really am shooting in the dark here.....Oh sorry......Anyway with Milbank getting a shake up for the election with new set, are we finally going to get rid of the National excuse for a studio/New National look? Like I said I really shooting in the dark and am probably wrong.......
