Sometime last year, it amusingly cut to Bob who was more interested in the newspaper than giving out the headlines, stayed like it for about 20 secs!

Very sad news indeed. John was always a warm and funny reporter and had wondered what had happened to him in recent times.
John will be missed.

Last 'Early Show' for Trafficlink's Alan Miller today, who used to do both Mollie's & Annie Othen's travel !
Check out his website for more info.Alan Miller Website
I was half asleep, as usual, but I could've sworn Mollie said this morning that a couple was having 'nookie' on top of a building close to the back entrance to the Mailbox
The BBC Brum staff were enjoying it apparantly at 4am!
Les Ross, in for Goldie on 95.6 Brekky this week, was banging on about religion, according to my boss! (Er Er Er religion, as my boss put it ! Not a fan of Leslie, my boss & his good lady!)

Now that I've got the off my chest, has anyone got any more juicy info on the proposed BBC midlands tv channel that was bandied about a while back?

(Skegness - AP) SKEGNESS HIGH STREET CROWDED WITH PEOPLE ON WHEELS
Our midlands reporter had trouble getting a few bits of shopping in the world's dullest town, as he kept getting run over by old people in electric wheelchairs and townie holiday makers with lots of pushchairs, and therefore has denounced the whole of Lincolnshire once again in a fit of rage while coming down the A55, also shouting "I can't wait to be back in birmingham"

Around 20 video journalists, between three and five community/user generated content producers and five hub producers [will] provide local rolling news for the Hereford and Worcester, Stoke, Birmingham, Coventry and Shropshire areas from September.
The trials will last for nine months and, if successful, will be the forerunners of around 60 similar services introduced across the UK as outlined in Building Public Value.
Up to ten minute sequences of local news will be accessible at fixed points within each hour via the red button on satellite tv, and on demand via the web, broadband tv or mobile phones.
