Well what an odd little episode of Midlands Today we've had!

There was firstly the camera not been able to stay still for more than 10 seconds, although I did like it.

My article on the football supporter was featured, the little peice of paper with the star logo at the top, and then the weather.

What the hell is the matter with the Midlands weather, apart from it continually pouring down; Shef seemed to really struggle with it tonight; even at some points the froze and at others it just seemed to fast-forward really fast so the time couldn't be seen then just stop and freeze - very weird.

Apart from that another excellent bulletin from the *fab* midlands today. Plus pretty much all the stories were about Shropshire so a further *fab* moment I feel....

Does anyone think its about time to get a new editior into Central News, and give the content a revamp? We dont have a consistant opening titles, bad camera angles, sport tonight could even be bothered to move away from the usual backdrop to the plasma, bad ending to the 6.00 and so on.

What would you do to Central News?
I think they should zoom the webcam closer up to the skyscrapers, higher seats, sport presented from plasma at all times, they should use the regional bed, as aposed to the national bed, better camera angles, and not so tight on the overhead view. Central News is missing a polished finished. Probably also rename the programme Central Tonight for the main six programme.

Also, get the weather outside around Gas St's studios.

Maybe not so much an editor they need... maybe they need a new control room director.

And this one for reference, that proves that ITV Central's view isnt the onl view of the skyline that is really dark:

nice to see midlands hip-hop used into the "picture of birmingham" tonight. first time i've seen the midlands version in a long time.

not my kind of programme usually [rastafarian poet travelling around the city], but was watchable and dare i say interesting.
