Did anyone see Emma Jesson's fake mop last week? If she thought anyone would think thats real then she would be stupid!
YAY!! you noticed too!!

i am hoping it was a joke, i mean did emma really think we would be fooled by that dead-animal type thing in her hair.

Hehe, that mop was all one colour, and her hair was multi colour. Talking of dead animals, she was or did want to become a vet? Might explain it...

not sure about that, i know she loves horses, so probably.

Ive just found an interesting Central Weather page with photos of Emma and Charlie, from the Central through Carlton eras.

http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/stechilton/

There is also a link to a Michelle Newman site, wonder she never came back to Central, as she has hardly done anything since... Central's take on LDN's Emily Maitlis!

No Shefali today. (Off ill says Nick/Suzanne)

Simon Keeling stood in instead.

Anyone else fed up of this bl**dy ad for the new CWR early brekky?

It's a good job I don't live in the CWR area, or else loads of p*** take text messages would be the order of the day.

It'll be interesting to see if anyone actually sticks with CWR, once the split happens.

Surely the majority of the listeners would be used to the likes of Doolan & Franksy by now & 95.6 is receivable in Coventry I believe.

Any CWR listeners care to comment.

Not a listener but Yes, Yes and Yes! That bloody trailer is annoying as hell, but if you look at it from a persuasive point it is repetative and poses lots of rhetorical questions. Still no excuse, I wish the women would just slap him and roll over.

Poor Shef, she looked really out of place and (to a degree) confused. Hope she gets better soon.

Also noticed that new aston for Nick/Suzannes name after some bright spark abolished the regional ident from the six. But now its here I don't know why Geogre/Sophie/Sian ("There three of us in this relationship") Don't change the intro for the update; something like "This is the 6 update, welcome back".

Right winge over.

Joel.

Review of the evening bulletin for Wednesday April 7 1999

Wrapped as prettily as an Easter Egg, Emma was dressed in her bright red outfit with the black buttons. Encouraging everyone in the Central region to take a "sikkie" on Friday, she also told us about her friend on honeymoon in Turkey.

What I want to know is... Did you catch the bouquet, Emma?

What a super idea, Emma Jesson's weather bulletin reviews! Pity he's only done one though

Few caps from MT. Here's the rediculous new handover along with the tiny new name graphics:

Few caps of the weather. Simon treated us to isobars but it looks a bit big and 80s:

And we also had the pleasure of ANOTHER new graphic. This time it's the "frost map":

Hmmmm...and WHERE'S Birmingham? I noticed it made an appearence on the flyover on the national weather last night so that's all good:

Finally the OH SO CLEAR wind graphics:

It's hard to see just what the weather is going to do with these new graphics, especially on the back projected screen...though the horrible brown maps do end up looking a more pleasant gold colour. Still no good though.

That's a bit cack - looks like someone's had a go with a Dymo labeler.

Why not use a normal bar aston?

Never noticed the name astons !

Had to smile today.

Doolan was discussing the congestion charge, for some reason(can't remember why!), & at one point he invited London based or passing through callers to ring in.

I thought, 'That's a bit naughty inviting London listeners to ring in', but I remembered Gaunt was on in London at the time, so it didn't matter really ! Laughing

'BREAKING NEWS' - Steve Clamp to leave Midlands Today

a banter-packed midlands today this evening! nick seemed to squeeze a pun into every link with shefali struggling to complete sentences between laughing.

sad that steve clamp's leaving MT - altho he will not be off our screens for long! keep an eye out for him, wicked whispers are that he is filling a certain pair of shoes, recently vacated in a certain part of the midlands. i hope bbc mids lure back rob curling, hes a fantastic sports pres. nick clitheroe is good on radio, but he isn’t mr charisma, and the one with the excessively gelled hair isnt a patch on steve.

and nick thanked us for being there. how innovative.
