Does anybody know whats happened to Central's Elizabeth O'Reilly or Anne Nankiville, and Susanne Page?
redundancy id imagine - along with the other 200 people thrown out of birmingham

altho i have a feeling elizabeth is now an SBJ or producer or something?

I want to know how they can cope with 200 people less. I know sports and that gone, but you know. Thats whats probably happened to Llew as well now.

*****The New BBC WM Magazine. Available Now ******

The front cover is Ross, Butler & Doolan 'Together Again!'

Also featuring interviews with Goldie(by a listener!), Les Ross, Jimmy Franks, John Platt, Mollie Green(How she got into radio. I'm sure some of us have wondered that at times!), Danny Kelly discussing his schooldays & a couple of listeners, including 'Rupert the Fish' from Coventry(I wonder where his loyalties will lie when CWR starts up again?)

Talking of Tony Butler, on Sunday, it's his 70th birthday !

Going back to this weekend, I managed to miss Gaunt.(A visit to the building society beckoned!)(He didn't win a Sony !! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing )

Sunday, I listened to Boyden on Hereford & Worcester. (WM's loss is HW's gain. A 'winner' from 'Herr Flick' !)

Yesterday I listened to the first hour of the Nottingham Late Show, now presented by Rob Underwood.

(Radio Nottingham seems to have learnt how to do 'split jingles' for the East & West Mids, as I was greeted with 'BBC Local Radio For The West Midlands Travel'!

Shame they had to spoil it by mixing East & West travel news together, & the old problem of the opt out & in at the top of the hour still happens. Poor Colin Roobottom. Cut off in his prime! ' It's now five minutes <BBC Local Radio In The West Midlands Travel>'

At least WM treat the bulletins with respect!)

Espicially for the 'TiswasOnLine' guys, Jimmy Franks interviewed 'Sludgey' on WM!

carpet was more elegant, but the podium gives a much nicer close up background.

nice to see central have problems with their server and its not just bbc mids who do. bob adlibbed for a while when chris james' report wouldnt run.

It's just a re-hash of the "The Big Picture" sting!

Maybe not, its just a bit exciting to see something new on CN these days. They now have no titles, except a short sting. The brief sting is nasty looking, why so much purple?!

Also, why dont they run the full end music at 6.30? It might stop them running over, as they have a breathing space, because at the moment its very messy.

I noticed that Joanne Malin seem to have ditched her "Carlton Star" outfit. Do you think Andy Bevan could be a contender for the main sub for Bob?

I hope she isnt ill or anything. Someone said on one of her last appearances, she didnt look well, and was only on the lunchtime bulletin a few days a week. Hope she comes back soon! CN is not the same without Bob and Llew.
