Yes but I am talking right, as you originally said that the backdrop was dark and dull, and know you are saying its good with its view of the canals etc. Am I not right? Or am I have to read through the thread and find it?

This looks a nice image for a view of Central:
http://www.henleyhotel.co.uk/image/area/GasStreetBasin.jpg That has got to be on their roof, yet their webcam doesnt ever look that good. The bottom is lit up very nicely, but on their screen, there only looks a few lights.

Here is a quick mock up of that view:

Looks much more like a city rather than a black hole! You have to imagine the wheel!

The picture above is good! Someone should suggest to Central News to move their camera. It does look better pointing up slightly.

I see Jo Malin still has her bush hair...........

There's no way a BBC programme could have that Hyatt logo permanently in shot though.

Ah, sorry - the point probably still stands though.

PS Having looked back at that picture of Llewella Bailey, whoever she is, I can't believe whoever thought she looks early forties Laughing

Yeah you're right Dan.

Llewella is 52. i know she is. She had her big birthday a couple of years ago. Was in the paper. And it certainly wasn't her 40th!

She's getting on now. Remember she was there back in the ATV days. So that is pre- 1986 I think??????

Apologies if this has been mentioned already, but Laurie Upshon - Central's controller of news - is to leave this summer to concentrate on "writing, lecturing and other projects".

He's been with Central since 1985.

And of course pioneered and launching the new region at the time - Central South.

He will be sadly missed.

I have also raised the height of the seat in the picture, while reudcing the back height, therefore more of the screen.

Yeah early forties are pushing it, but I wouldnt have said 52. More like 45-50.
