I thought so. Alan Clifford usually does Nottingham drivetime so it would make sense that they'd use someone from Nottingham to cover Frances Finn if that's where the show comes from. Still confused by the Rob Underwood situation, though. He's definitely not doing a network early breakfast, so has he moved to Lincoln for a week and a half or is Lincolnshire's breakfast being done in Nottingham?

Radio Nottingham has a couple of radio studios - it's still possible for them to produce the late show and pipe it down the line like they usually do, but also broadcast their own coverage.

WM used to do the same thing when they had the regional show, but also had a technical problem when doing this, of the callers to the Late Show, getting WM football, while waiting to go on air !

Does Radio Nottingham have a similar problem, because besides footy coverage, they also have an Asian show on Fridays between 7 & 10pm?

On the subject of Alan Clifford in for Frances Finn, from listening last night, for a change, Nick Brunger(whoever he is, I assume he's also a Nottingham presenter!), was also supposed to be covering for Frances Finn, but he went sick, so Alan is covering for Nick, who was covering for Frances !

Having a look at one of the sports columns in the Express & Star last night, I spot this little gem.

It turns out the legend that is Tony Butler was trying to talk to Walsall's Jim Walker, but he got the wrong Walker!

He was after the physio Jim Walker, but got the former Walsall goalie James 'Wacca' Walker, now at West Ham instead !

'Time to update the contact book, guys!'

Goldie did 95.6 Brekky from the Bull Ring Market today.

Now the question is, will they be using their sofa down there, or will they bring out the desk that they had in the conservatory last year?

I'm sure I heard that the set in the Mailbox studio will use "parts of" the current set, presumably including the sofa, as they haven't been using for all that long.

As they will need to "pilot" the Mailbox studio/set, whilst the transmitted MT is still Pebble Mill based, I guess the whole point of why MT can't stay in the usual Mill studio/set until the bitter end is because of this "recycling" of furniture.

Therefore, I expect the MT conservatory set will have the same furniture as last time.

There was a nice little sign off from Michael on the ten last night. He mentioned that this was the last Midlands Today from that studio after 34 years, and then they faded to a wide shot of the studio with all the cameras and monitors in view. Michael mentioned a bit more about them leaving Pebble Mill, then the closing music from the original 2000 package was played, and all the lights in the studio were dimmed. It was a really nice, effective way to say goodbye to studio B. Lets hope the conservaty set looks good today.

Well, last time they were in the conservatory, it was for just one week. By that reckoning, they'll be in the Mailbox studio on Monday 4th October.

But I have a feeling that they'll be in the conservatory for a bit longer this time. The only thing that's certain is that MT will start coming from the Mailbox "sometime in October" - that could mean as late as Monday 25th October...

Any idea when 'The Politics Show' will move from Pebble Mill to the Mailbox?

Will it be the same time as MT, or will it move before/after?

Poor Goldie. It's a shame he still has to go back 'to the old place' once a week, when he's been at the Mailbox, for WM, since the summer !

How quick does it take to swop the conservatory sets around from PS to MT & vice versa?

Anyone spot MT/WM's Health correspondent, Michele Padauno, & his 'old pot' ?

It got a mention in yesterday's Express/Mail(can't remember which)

Goldie just gone to a Leicester Hospital OB witjh someone called Rob Sissons at the maternity unit & his opening line was 'Bet this makes you feel broody Adrian!

Wonder if someone will point out that he's about 6 months behind, & losing sleep because of it !

New WM mag rumored to be out this week, with an 'Almost Legendary' Sally James interview! (Sorry, Lee of the Tiswas Online site, but I couldn't resist that !)

I thought the whole idea of moving into the conservatory was so they could move the sofa and desk to the Mailbox. If that is in the conservatory, then what was the point of moving. I suppose they could be removing the rear projector from the 'window', and they could be taking the wooden floor with them to reuse, but I've got a horrible feeling that they are taking the whole of the current set with them, meaning that we'll still have a cream set, even though that form of BBC News set is now out of date.

As i understand it not that long in all fairness, Personally I don't work over at Pebble anymore but it used to be a quick change, lighting rearrangment, moving furniture, about 1/2 an hour, purly on the floor, gallery and general changes can take a little longer.

And to my understanding it was Monday 4th is the date.
