I have emailed them before, and Dan Barton always replied. Same with BBC Midlands, cant think of his name, always helpful and always replied.

Thinking again, they might have sold off their Llews, because of their cut backs! Might explain the reason for missing presenters, and breakfast bulletins without presenters, and people not telling when they are on air. I wonder if Health and Safety knows!

unless arati's appearance is expalined by this paragraph from the annual statement ...

Central pays great attention to the ethnic and
cultural mix of the region. It has always been our policy
to reflect that mix in the mainstream of our programmes
rather than in separate and exclusive areas of the
schedule. Viewers will see this reflected in all of Central’s programming across all of the genres with
once again a particular emphasis on CENTRAL NEWS
and on the current affairs output.

its a shame to ditch or in effect demote 2 very well known and loved presenters. i really cant see them gaining any audience share by putting arati on everynight.

I think Arati Hallai is doing a fine job!!!

I do miss Llewella and Jo but Arati is fitting in nicely!!! She doesn't sound like she has a blocked nose on CN@6 like she did on CN on GMTV!!!

Give her credit where credit is due!!

Does the BBC Midlands Breakfast bulletins come from the main studio or from the newsroom? I ask because I saw Kay in the newsroom with a camera in front of her when they first moved in a report?

that was probably during the period when the presenters were practising with the autocue in the newsroom for a few weeks before the move.

midlands breakfast is always from the studio

its interesting that the central news bulletins on central trains (presumably from the virtual studio) have the moving squares background rather than the view of birmingham. are we to presume the central west team produce 1 edition for the entire central trains network, or do they produce a seperate east version?

I believe they only have monitors showing Central News on trains in and around the West Midlands conurbation. I frequently use Central Trains across the East Midlands and none of the ones that I've been on have TV monitors.
