Central News West - now complete with DOG

You can't say that about Llewella Bailey ! Laughing

(Sorry couldn't resist that !)

Seriously though, why have they put a DOG on now (I noticed yesterday!) several months after the other ITV regions?

Onto WM now, & Mollie's back from the 'lurgy' !

Great story from her today, about her thinking she'd lent her car park pass to Tom Manners(She hadn't !), so she'd bought a ticket(!), but was wondering how to get out Rolling Eyes

Ideas considered were, getting a gang together to trick the barrier !

I texted in, to say she was mad, but entertaining !

Did anyone notice Chris Ashley is not in the Sunday line up from February?

Anybody listening to 1152 Am Capital Gold at the mo?

Tom Ross, their 'only' presenter, is over halfway through a broadcasting marathon from 7am today until 10am tomorrow, in aid of the Tsumani appeal.

interesting to note that simon keeling has been doing mids today weather since mid december with no sign of shefali. as much as i like her (she IS midlands todays weather dept), shes been looking rather moody lately.

so long may simons stay continue. he even used a map with weather fronts on yesterday - a very rare occurance on midlands today Smile

Shefali is on holiday in India at the moment. Simon is just a temp replacement until she comes back.

well, they are falling back onto vt when a report fails. it does seem a rather long winded method, but somebody obviously knows better than us Confused

fantastic item on central news tonight, eric mcinnes came into the studio to talk about his experiences in indonesia reporting on the tsunami.

meanwhile mt did a funky thing with the back projection screen. nick pressed a "button" on the screen which animated. very neat!

I watched Central News tonight and noticed how the studio looks so much better with the new blue. I also noticed at the start, a normal camera, as usually there is a view of one of those cameras on a tripod. The view is also nice at night.

Whoops! No audio during the weather update on Central News. And then they project the News week logo on the floor by mistake. Good bulletin apart from that, even get Phillipa Thompson being cheeky to Mark Gough in the studio over a chat about ugly cars! Very Happy

I noticed that the studio had a green tint this morning too, presumably for newsweek. That studio must be fitted with some good lighting kit, as there are the soccer studio with the red and orange lights, and the green for newsweek, and the blue for Central News. I like the different shots they use on Central News now and not just fixed ones for every bulletins. Nice studio, looks and used much better than the London Tonight one.

Just got a preview for Central News East at 5.55pm on Sky 103. Didn't catch what was showing on analogue. Looks like Brum may be having problems.
