Can someone tell me why there are no new ITV1 Central idents? It appears that other regions have the new style with the regional name underneath but Central has been missed out AGAIN!!!

On Thursday at 7:30pm there was just a plain ITV1 ident and tonight at 7:30 there was the old style ITV1 ident with an announcer saying "This is ITV1 Central"

Why is Central left out again?

I see there's also an auction of all the Carlton Studios content at Nottingham due to their closure too. Takes place on the 16th and 17th of November if anyone's interested.

New Politics Show set today !

Can Central's building be seen from that window I wonder.

I don't think the Central building can be seen from the BBC windows, I think Bobby Browns club and the flats on Holliday / Gas St get in the way. The new development on Holliday Wharf will almost certainly block the view in that direction I think.

Yes those new developments are a monstrosity aren't they! I walk past them some nights on my way down to New St. Station. Can't stand the so-called "Kings Oak" one - looks just like a cheapo hotel in Torremolinos. (apologies for my spelling in this paragraph!).

As for the view from The Politics Show... from the horses mouth...

Yes you can see the dishes on top of the Central building from that window but not much else.

And for anyone who can't be bothered to sign up to the auction site, I've uploaded the brochures and catalogues for both auctions here

Yeah it'd be worth going along just for a final trip to Pebble Mill. But I have it on good authority from a couple of people who work there... that the reason it was all left behind - is that there's nothing really worth having. No memorabilia (unless you count the old presenter pictures on the walls). No naffink!

I didn't notice, but what's happening to the big BBC letters on the front of the building... AFAIK they're still there... imagine having them in your front garden!! Laughing

Ha Ha! I managed to win this at the auction at Pebble Mill today - but it's about 4 feet x 3 feet in size! And only for £30!
