Tonight's CNwest@Six ended with a sneaky peek of the new studio set, which Jo said they'll be in from Monday.
It looks more-or-less exactly like the London Today/Tonight set, including a "window" - currently showing a webcam view of Brum, but Jo said it would be used to show places from all around the region, and she specifically referred to it as a "screen", not a "window".
Can any East Midlanders tell me if CNeast said they'll be moving to the Brum studios on Monday 13th too?
I suspect that CNeast will have an identical set, with a view of Notts providing some compensation for the programme being non-EM based.

The new news production centre just outside Nottingham doesn't open till next February, but I suppose they might move presentation to Birmingham before then.

Was there any comment about him working for the other side etc as well ?
Tomorrow's WM schedule is slightly different, with Jimmy Franks only going out in CWR land, while it's footy all the way on 95.6 & the Brum & Wolves DAB muxes, between 12 & 6.
(The Wolves match will go out only on the Wolves mux, not sure what's on the Brum mux or 95.6, but the other matches are Villa v Chelsea, where some BBC bods are taking some penalty kicks, who include Ashley Blake & Suzanne Virdee(Any chance of any pics of Suzanne in a pair of shorts anyone?), & thanks to WM coming to an agreement with the Baggies, it's WBA v Liverpool !)

its quite likely that the new series of the politics show midlands will come from the mailbox - from this very sunday. i think its basically the old purple sofas transported from the pebble mill conservatory (possibly minus the stack of tellys) - with the canalside window behind.
although it is still possible that it could come from the mill. we shall see!

Correct me if I'm wrong wasn't the point of the "In the News" forum to stop bit "this is the X thread" I seem to have missed the start of this thread but its certainly growing into another gigantic hardly read thread.

twas an idea the likes of itsrobert came up with - asa went along with it and locked all generic threads (except the london one - oddly) - but then allowed generic threads back after a day or so. didn't really achieve alot - but then some people did point out that it wouldn't work.
regional threads are as old as tea, and i for one resent being told where to post.

Considering how devoid-of-content/updates (other than news stories) the new regional ITV websites are, I wonder if http://www.itvregions.com/index.php?region=Central will bother updating the photo of the CN studio/set, once the programme's moved back out of reception?
Also having the CNwest studio on the general front page, rather does a dis-service to East and South sub-region viewers!

I had a mooch round Gas Street today - can't really tell whats going on, but it looks like the temp set and sofa's still in place. There's some big billboards with adverts for Central News and Pulling Power, and the Central garden is lovely
Also had a look at the original Central building - it was open today for missing kids to be collected as there was a large arts festival going on opposite. I was really tempted to go inside and take a good pic of the reception, I wish I did now! One of the rooms you could look in had a car sticker on the wall telling you to watch Central East in 1985.
I'll post the pics soon, as I used a proper camera film that needs to be developed.
