In theory they should have access to laods of channels, say if Sky Sports have a live game etc. so they can give out scores.

i do like jo's new hair-do on central... see we are not TOTALLY ignoring central

signing was back on today's midlands today 3.25 bulletin (first time ive seen the afternoon bulletin in a while, so it might have been back a while). i have to say, i was a bit worried when it disappeared, its not much to ask to have a 5 min signed bulletin for the deaf. not all regions bother - but central newsweek and bbc midlands have for a long time.

very much the same as before - although the "surround" graphics the signist stands in front of have changed to match, looks quite nice. the birmingham institute for the deaf logo is now stretched on the closing slide though.

ooh have to say the new midlands today sport graphics - as in the ones they use for sports results are FAB. very neat and lovely.

and i think mike was wearing a new tie.

I don't think they should have got rid of that sting they've gone back to the old boring boom boom boom so dated. Alls they needed to do was tone it down, like Look North East Yorks and Lincs does! its looks and sounds funky.

OOh and there's no Bob on Central news tonight so it was said at lunchtime. It's not the same without Bob! There a Central news mention, just so we don't abandon those people of itv central! With refence to the studion at cnw it looks qiute nice now the dark evenings have drawn in it stops that awful blue background from standing out sooo much.

I sent Mother down Walsall today, to 'Nick Owen' spot, which she did. She didn't go in the queue to hang around though!

I've asked her to go again tomorrow, to see if Mr Collymore appears. (I bet he won't, & if he does,what's the betting he'll get serious stick from people!)

Mollie was giving away a Jethro Tull CD this morning.('Who's Jethro Tull?')

Needless to say, one texter informed her about Ian Anderson, & I texted her about the TOTP 'Witches Promise' clip.('They were on TOTP ?)

Tomorrow(to nick a catchphase from 'The Fast Show!), I shall mostly be avoiding Beacon FM appearing at my place of work, collecting bras for one of the cancer charities! (Spotted the internal e-mail mentioning 'Beacon Radio' ! Nice to see GWR's rebranding worked! )

so sad to hear the last janice long show on radio 2 from pebble mill last night - that really is the end of the mill

server problems on midlands today tonight. first a random bit of another vt interrupted a report - then later in the show during collie on the canals the next report started to run - then they cut back to an old edition of collie on the canals

worth watching monday - they'll be taking a look at the pebble mill auction

Bought the book yesterday! (A generic signed copy !)

Apparantly Beacon made it to my place of work Thursday, but the Express & Star didn't. (They were supposed to be coming yesterday to take pictures!)

I thought MT was the final thing to move out of Pebble Mill.
