Maybe I was a bit previous about Sarah's engagement as said ring seems to have disappeared on recent appearences.

Beacon, Brmb & presumbly Mercia & Wyvern are no longer being refered to on air as such, now 'The station soon to be Free Radio'.

Coupled with the Utv West Midlands Group rebranding to Signal 107, it'll be interesting next week!

(Will the Free Radio change stop the silly situation of the same songs played in order, but different jocks in Birmingham, Wolverhampton etc?)

No, not until they're allowed to network more, they need to provide 7 hours for each licence except Coventry and Birmingham on weekdays which could in theory share everything.

Why five months though? Is there some big change going to place after that period? Or do they want to get a new female into the role, and need five months to play with?

Very sad news, but either way I'm sure we'll see Suzanne on our screens again soon. Perhaps a cover role on BBC Breakfast? She was superb when she covered pre 2006. Amazed she never got more network shifts to be honest!

Big shame. Though I felt the partnership of Nick and Suzanne got tired years ago. Though I did like her as a journalist in the Pebble Mill days and a few years into the Mailbox so I guess she'll be missed.

As a Midlands immigrant, it doesn't totally bother me, but I do hope they choose a suitable replacement for you lot! Please not Jo Malin!! Wouldn't it be great to get Kay back into primetime eh?! That would never happen though sadly!

I disagree, I thought they were one of the strongest partnerships in regional news and worked well on screen together. There was a chemistry, wasn't forced and they clearly got on! Unlike Roger 'I'm so much better than everybody here and I talk in one tone' Johnson and Ranvir 'Over excited mole' Singh at least...

The banter with Nick was always was great and she is a very professional presenter, I feel she needs a national outing!

Isn't Jackie Kabler still working as a freelancer with MT? Maybe a bigger role for her...

It's a shame to see Suzanne go. Hopefully this departure will lead to bigger and better things. Hopefully she'll pick up some relief work on the News Channel.

I spend a lot of time in the Midlands and I always felt there was little chemistry between the two, particularly compared to Gordon and Ranvir. Particularly weather presenter Shefali has nowhere near the chemistry Diane has with her colleagues.
