That right there is all kinds of awesome.

I met him and got his autograph last year, I've been on a high ever since.

Excuse the double post:
David Gregory (for any stray East Midlands viewers; Midlands Today's science and environment correspondent)
was at the Birmingham BBC Broadcast Support centre (I believe).

Digs the smiley face on the one screen!

Anyway, bit of BBC WM news now.

Danny Scouser still on his honeymoon, so Tammy Gooding, of BRMB & Smooth fame is covering this week.

Next week(if I remember the Radio Times correctly) someone called 'Dave Clarke' is covering. (Who's he then?)

Due to 5Live Sports Coverage this coming Sunday, there is no '5Live Investigates' on air, but Goldie instead is covering Andrew Peach instead.

Going back to next week's RT, BBC One in the East Midlands will be time shifting after Question Time next Thursday, to fit in coverage of a Mayoral debate in Leicester. (Looks like BBC Radio Leicester will transmit earlier in the evening & the telly will have highlights!)

It denotes network health, according to David Gregory.

Coolest thing ever.

The former Heart Drive and Galaxy Breakfast jock, I assume?

Ah. Don't listen to Fart on a regular basis. As for Radio Mars Bar, that's Crapital now isn't it?

So Keith Beech has found the 'G' & 'H' pages in his address book then, apart from 'B' for BRMB & 'S' for Smooth!

A little note to say that today (12th April 2011) is Beacon Radio's(or what passes for said station thesedays!) 35th birthday.

Today is also my 40th birthday.

I'll leave you to mull over who's wearing better with age!

EDIT : Just noticed Flupton has got Gloria De Pierro MP as a FaceBook friend!

Whats up with the pauses in speech during the preview video when the stream is off air?

Just remembered.

I met Bob Warman back in 1982 in Walsall Arboretum(along with a hundred other people!) with that mutt Oscar the 'Newshound' doing a charity walk.

(The modern day equivalent would be Malin with Maisie, or Flupton doing one of his bike rides!)

Noticing in the South West thread, that their BBC 1980's globe made a reappearence the other day, does the BBC Midlands 'M' or their own globe still exist physically? (Do they have their own off airs as an alternative?)

Ex BRMB & Smooth jockess Tammy Gooding has been covering for a couple of shows over Easter on WM(Mollie on Saturday(Obviously our Mol's gone off in the camper van!) & Flupton on Easter Monday), with the recently returned from honeymoon Danny Kelly today covering Malin(He hasn't got the legs Laughing ), plus he's covering Flupton this Friday coming.
