What has happened to the on screen graphic strap lines on '' Daybreak '' during the opt - out ? The quality is just awful & the end of the strap line that comes out of the clock & go across the screen from left to right does not fade towards the right hand side if you know what I mean ?

Has this always been how it has looked on ''Daybreak '' or are the other local opt - outs like this as well ?

Birmingham Mail & BBC News Online have confirmed it now.

Sara Thornton has been doing the Local Brekky weather on Friday(along with appearing on local radio(certainly heard her on Doolan yesterday!), I guess she did the Lunchtime TV bulletin too?) plus the Saturday lunchtime bulletin just.

Bit of a changeround at WM at the moment, due to holidays & things.

Jo Malin was on holiday(Hurray ) for the past few days with Mollie covering. (She managed to do half an hour on her hens yesterday! )

Danny Kelly is taking 2 weeks off for wedding & honeymoon(gets married today!), so Daz Hale was covering this weeks shows(with Michelle Dawes covering Early Show/Breakfast sport duties), with Mollie covering next week's shows(including goss from the wedding, she says!).

(Should've put a fiver on Goldie )

Edit : Mark Thompson made a brief appearance on Doolan Friday as he'd come to the Mailbox to address the staff!

I assume it was holiday, as it was only 2 weeks.

For the first time in ages, I caught Central Tonight this evening. A report on former Central News presenter Llewela Bailey training for a charity marathon and also Wesley Smith was reporting live on the lead story. I wonder if he is freelance or is working back at Central.
