(It was only picked up by the 'Express & Star' today too!)
Anyone noticed the cock up on yesterday's 630 MT, where the opening seconds of the lunchtime edition (presented by Katie Rowlett) popped up by mistake?
Tonight's MT partly live with Nick from the NEC in conjunction with the current High Speed 2 railway story, which is running across BBC West Mids output this week, from yesterday's Politics Show, tonight's 'Inside Out' (with Pete Waterman guesting on a report!), Midlands Today & even Flupton doing the WM Breakfast Show this morning from Birmingham International railway station.
Also there was a report on the funeral of Sam Plank, which I believe was also featured on BBC Stoke too.(Reading elsewhere.)
I haven't seen John Taynton being mentioned, as he used to go out across the entire Midlands, not just one small bit!
According to posts in another place, Ed Doolan has announced plans to cut back his work and from the summer will only be doing Friday lunchtimes and Sunday mornings.

Just listened to Iplayer & apparantly the Sunday morning schedule will run Doolan 8 till 11, then Chinnie 11 till 2 then as current, but no mention of either Sior Coleman or Andy Peach. (My guess bye bye Peachie, as he's got work at Berkshire & Radio 2 (last I heard!).
As for the Monday to Thursday shows, my guess is Goldie. (How would the Monday show fit with his Sunday 5 Live show. He's gotta sleep sometime? (I assume '5Live Investigates' is also moving to Manchester too?))
According to posts elsewhere in other forums re other areas doing a similar thing, could BBC West Midlands regional radio start programme sharing this Autumn? (Please god not Joanne Malin!)
The Midlands Today desk has grown a foot, sadly the bottom looks completely out of place.
Thought there was something different tonight.
Anyway, this week's 'Late Kick Off' for the Midlands featured Nick on the panel in his capacity as Luton chairman.
Next week Nick is actually presenting the show itself.
(Anyone know why there seems to be a rapid turnover of presenters at the mo? It's been Manish until recently, then Dan Walker. Next week it's Nick & the week after, it's Colin Murray! How come they use a 'nationally recognised' presenter anyway? Do the other regions use 'local' presenters?)

Manish is off covering the Cricket World Cup, I guess they're just cover presenters. It is odd they're using national presenters but I suppose its quite convenient having the Mailbox just a few hundred yards away from New Street station where they can hope back down to London on a pendalino!

It seems Midlands Today have raised their coffee table so that it is like a desk, like ITV Meridian and ITV Westcountry recently have - IMO, it looks much nicer.
