I quote this from Wikipedia [...]; I've never watched EE, so I don't know if this is correct?
"When Steve Owen, his boss, was imprisoned for the murder of Saskia Duncan, his employment looked uncertain. He earned the wrath of his friends for failing to support Matthew Rose adequately. Matthew had been falsely accused by Steve of killing Saskia, and Lenny gave the police a statement suggesting that he was acting strangely on the day of the murder, which didn't help his case. Shortly after, Lenny was offered work in a West End club, so he decided to take the offer and leave Walford in July 1999"

I remember 'Huw & Lenny' from Eastenders, but who did they normally interact with?
How were they written out? Did they fall foul of the Mitchells/Ian Beale/A N Other Gangster type or another reason?

Ah, I forgot about the bloke from Spandau Ballet!
Anyway I had a quick listen to part of the WM Saturday Brekky from last Saturday as I thought they normally had a weather forecast around 830am, but they did'nt have one.
What I did find out was Mollie is trying to give up smoking! (If it was funny ciggies, it explains a lot!)
I didn't know she smoked. In the 5 years or so I listened to the Early Show, it was never alluded to.
(Her business obviously.)
Mind you, I was ill over Christmas & off work(Bloody flu!) & turned WM on a couple of afternoons out of boredom & Mollie was covering Danny Scouser.
It appeared on one show she'd been discussing kids TV presenters or summat & somehow got onto 'Grotbags' from the Central Emu show.
Then 'Grotbags' appeared on line.
'Put me through to that presenter. She's mad!'
Obviously has heard Mollie before, I thought, but it was really Carol Lee Scott who played her on Emu.
She now has retired due to ill health & is now running a Caravan Club site down south apparantly.
The next day, someone asked her how her turkeys, hens & chickens were.(I know
)
She said she'd lost one & had to give another the kiss of life!
WTF I thought.
(I sure she said she hadn't told her husband either! Poor ******* if I heard right. I was a bit out of it admittedly!)
As per my recent post regarding WM's listening figures, Digital Spy has kicked off another thread relating to WM.
Bearing in mind, one of the last attempts was closed by DS mods, due to abuse, let's see how long this one lasts.
(There's also an excellent thread on Beacon Radio on DS too!)

Got the day off today, so I just went to get my hair cut!
Just before I got to the hairdressers, this black car slows down.
I thought 'He's after directions?', so I went over to it & sticks my head through the window.
I thought 'I recognise that face?'.
Guess who it was?
It was Flupton in the flesh, after directions to Walsall Bus Depot. (He'd shot too far up the road, so I don't know who gave him the original directions!)
Must be doing something for either 'Inside Out' or the Breakfast Show?

He had his bottom out on television?
Has Pat Burns had a slight bit of surgery on his left cheek?
Noticeable light patch on his cheek.

I don't think he did.
Just a little bit of news I got from twitter, Colin Pemberton, MT reporter has retired.

Sure I only saw him on screen the other week, unless I'm mistaken?
Is he in reasonable good health, unlike the late John Yates, as he retired due to ill health didn't he?

BBC retirement do for Colin Pemberton. So many excellent stories and achievements. Inspiring.

Looks like MT are captioning 'Reporter Name' plus the 'midlandstoday@bbc.co.uk' email address on screen now.
Besides Colin Pemberton retiring, has Susanna Mendonca also left the Politics Show, as Ben Godfrey did the main OB, plus 3 female reporters from 3 of the local radio stations are also part of the team now?

The question is, are the astons animating? Or static still [so boring, I think the Mill was doing animation in 1983].
