Network Rail's male* toilets are above the MT Studio, so wouldn't surprise me if they leaked again. They think they're supposed to stand in the urinal and aim outwards.
(He's on the Politics Show at the moment, hosting a debate in Wolverhampton. Where's a 'live' Susannah Mendonca?)
Is he after a telly career or what?
(I gather he's at Cannon Hill Park this afternoon for Sport Relief, along with Jo Malin. Looks like he'll have to make a mad dash across the West Midlands to get there!)
Does anyone think, if it's a full change of set, they will get rid of the glass wall behind the presenters, or is it going to be restricted to the red bits already there?
If the other regions are anything to go by then the backdrop is likely to be a newsroom anyway, so it would be rather a shame to cover the real one over and replace it with a fake printed background like everywhere else has. So it would be nice if they could still keep the real newsroom, and stick a few frosted swirls on the glass which would tie it into the national set. I'd hope they'll make it more of a square set this time as well, which would make better use of the space than the curved set does at the moment, and make it all look a bit bigger.
My sources say tomorrow is the day it launches, so get ready with the capture cards.
Your sources?! Oh please Michael! You mean various MT staff that post on the likes of Twitter have questioned whether viewers would notice a difference tomorrow!
Certainly expect something different, and the view of the newsroom to be obscured, albeit slightly!

Hehe, you're right.
Anyway, the new set is an improvment.
New set and new music it seems. All very news 24-ish to me.
No more seeing the civilians behind in the newsroom.
Not sure I like the new look, it seems to be going backwards, they had the news room 'closed' off back in the late 80's early 90s then 'opened' it so you could see what was happening...
Oh and that sofa is very ITV Central Newsy looking. I'm sure it will grow, its very different from what they have had for the last few years.
Good to see MT are using the new music package first aired on South East Today. MT must easily have the best presentation and studio now out of all the regions!
