Would it be okay, do you think, for us to have two Midlands threads on the forum? One for the radio discussions and one for the TV.
That would seem reasonable to me and shouldn't upset anyone?
I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be difficult but a thread only works really well when it concentrates on one thing...

i think the thread has worked fine for the last 5 years, as did its predecessors before it.
to be honest, if it weren't for westy, the thread would have dropped off the end of the forum, leaving us with no-where to talk about the bits of presentation that we wouldn't dream of going to the bother to make a thread for.
its funny how the people bemoaning the thread's content are people who do not post in it, or do so very rarely.
there's not a lot left to talk about on midlands telly. gone are the days when central would have a decent amount of opts, and bbc mids were opting out to show documentaries. we're left with very little to talk about. so it seems reasonable [to me] that the odd bit of midlands radio can be added to the mix.

It's possible though that more of us would post if it didn't feel like the thread is about a world we are not involved in... That's why is might be better to have a separate thread for radio.
I'm definitely not looking for a fight here, it just seems that people who dare say what they think get almost bullied away from the thread.

almost bullied. pull yourself together!
as someone who, on the face of it, lives in greater london, i put it to you that its not surprising that you may feel this is a world that you are not involved in - midlands radio, and tv for that matter, are not designed for you.
in my opinion, a change in policy on this one would drive away regulars including myself. i'm not interested in hardcore 'omg the aston colour is wrong' type discussion.

Central News have just won two RTS awards, one for East and one for West, for their Alrewas remembrance programmes, and another for newcomer of the year - to which Bob and SAK spent the whole show namechecking "CENTRAL" and then making a point of talking about the split regions. We don't think there's any hard feelings at Gas Street, do we?????

There is only one rear projection at Gas Street now, considering the other was sold.

How do you have time to watch Midlands Tv output if you're working?
Listening on the radio to Midlands based stations at work, I'd accept.
I live in London, work in the Midlands.

Why did they sell the best one? Central East's was much clearer and newer.
