Westy has been making posts on this subject for a long time - since before you were a member, as has been pointed out. If the forum admin and moderators had an issue with it I'm sure they would have taken some action by now. If you wish to make a comment, Asa's PM box might be the most appropriate place to do it.

If we were to be really pedantic, this is actually a television presentation forum but can you imagine how dull a place it would be if we only ever discussed idents and nothing else? The BBC Local Radio stations have strong connections with the BBC Regional News programmes so I see no problems with discussing them here.
That is just my worthless opinion as a fellow ordinary member, though.
