Wonder why they have gone back into the West Studio though? Backdrop looks a bit yellow in comparison to the studio. Looks a bit green screen.

No, it isn't!

It's yellow because the projector is dying. The colour temperature is quite warm for some reason.

No wonder its dying how long its been in use. Its been the same studio since 2004. This Christmas will be there 6th in the exact same set, and now the lighting has been put back to how it was when it first launched.

However it does look nice and fresh now though. But as always with Central News, the lighting will have faded or they will have messed with by the end of next week.

Oh I see. Still. Cyan is awful. Back to blue is what I say.

Looks like Ed Doolan's off for a few days, as Jimmy Franks covered today's Lunchtime Show on Wm.

Apparantly Phil Gayle's covering Tuesday & Wednesday.

Last week of Mad Mollie covering Danny Scouser on WM afternoons too.

There was a surprise appearance of 'Soul Diva' & 'Wolverhampton's very own' Beverley Knight with Mollie as she'd been at the Mailbox recording an interview with Nick Owen for transmission on tonight's MT.

Full programme? Of what?

If you mean Midlands Today, they are still using the awful BBC Media Player that was developed in 2001.

Select RealPlayer.
They no longer encode for WMP.

Doolan's still off this week, but we have a interesting cover presenter on WM this week.

None other than former weatherman of this parish & Alan Carr lookalike, Simon Keeling.

From the bit I heard, he wasn't too bad.

Danny Scouser's back from Cuba & I noted one texter said 'It was better while you were off!' Shocked

Personally Mollie did my head in, so I didn't catch all her shows.

Thought it was a bit of a faux pas on tonight's Central Tonight that the story about an emergency service drill in Lincoln was followed by a report about students graduating in Lincoln. And they were both filed by the same reporter. They obviously tried to disguise this fact by chopping off the outcue on the latter report as it just ended very abruptly and froze.

I noticed that Rajeev Poppat was also covering the potential closure of fire stations in Warwickshire and then had a pre-packaged report on another subject later on in the programme. But that's nothing that new although it didn't happen as much as it used to.

Was rather amused over on t'other side when Shefali said "oooh that was quick" as Nick threw to her for the weather. When she was finished Nick said rather tongue in cheek "And I'm sorry Shefali for being so quick..." which was followed by a raised eyebrow from Suzanne. No love lost?
