Amusing blunder on this lunchtime's BBC East Midlands Today . There was a live link to Jo Healey at Manchester Airport, when suddenly the link was lost halfway through. The picture cut back to a startled Kylie Pentelow, who has halfway through having a glass of water Laughing

It is funny but why post in the BBC Midlands thread?

Because this Post covers BBC One Midlands ( BBC News Midlands Today ) / BBC One East Midlands ( BBC News East Midlands Today ) !

Where else On TV Forum would you expect a member to post this thread ?

This Post is not just for the West it is for the East as well !

We all do come undert he same Region even though we do have separate Programmes / separate BBC Local Radio Stations !

No, this has always been a thread for BBC Midlands. East Midlands is a completely different region. It may not have a thread of its own, but that doesn't stop someone from creating one, or posting in the BBC English Regions thread.

There did used to be a BBC EMT thread back in annals of TVF history, but it was so little used, I imagine it has been archived by now.

Thus I didn't bother creating a whole new thread, just for that post-- I felt it would be pointless. Besides other things have been sporadically posted about BBC EMT in this thread before, without objection (ditto with posts on the erstwhile Central News East).

I think Bob Warman is a brilliant presenter. He seems to have something that makes people like news better (even the young) , even though he is ageing now. That's my opinion anyway...

Jo and Bob are the best combination though!

Bit of WM news now.

Jo Malin was off last week, with Charlie Jordan covering.

This week, Mollie's off, but surprisingly one of the journos, Terry Goodwin, is covering.

At least he doesn't bang on about hens, chickens & metal detecting.

Anyone hear last Wednesday's show?

Someone had pissed in the Mailbox lift & she'd stepped in it(in her slippers, I hasten to point out!). roll:

People were texting in wondering if Doolan or Butler had an 'accident' in there.
(Well they are getting on a bit! Laughing )

I'm pretty certain East and West split on the News at 10's regional part.
Will post back later to see whether this happens. I do know the weather maps are different.

Bye for now

re Central Tonight late version.

East and West look like they are pre-recorded. The presenter is the same (Becky Johnson). East leads with the Madeleine Mc Cann story and West leads with the capture of a guy originally from Stoke on Trent. The Madeleine story is mentioned further in the West's bulletin. Weather maps are regional.

Hope this helps

Paula
