Wonder which studio they will use for Central Tonight then from Monday? CNE's has a better screen, but is not West's holds the weather?

Will they dismantle the studio they do not use, because its pointless keeping it up and running for a 6 minute pre-record?

Just a few years after they spent months splitting it into 2 studios.

Well during the 'test-run' the other Monday during the lunchtime bulletin, they opted for the East studio - so I don't know if that's an indication of the one they'll use?

As for the weather, I'm not sure where it comes from - was hard to make out where the screen was situated in Lucy Kite's promo earlier!

Interesting, but i am sure the weather moved from East to West's studio a few months ago now. You can see the camera they used to have in East studio appearing on West's the other day. Its not one of those small remote ones, its one you would see on the national news.

I thought that was the case, but after seeing the new promo yesterday it looked as though it was situated in a self-contained room - similar to how it was before the studios were split (as can be seen here).
The screen was also green whereas before it was blue. I've also noticed during the past week that the lighting is different compared to how it was the week before; so by the looks of things, it looks as though they've moved it yet again - to how it was originally 5 years ago!

EDIT: My mistake, after seeing it again the screen is still blue. Confused

Maybe then. I forgot about that area, where the virtual bulletins used to come from! Reminds me of the Carlton era, with the view of Birmingham with the nice desk! Central had some nice virtual sets - better than the real ones most the time!

I know! The current set just looks really bland compared to the great ones they used to have.

Great to see Llewela and Bob hosting the final bulletin before the changes tomorrow. I take it this will be their last appearances? Sad

Bob will be still with us for a "while yet", but I don't know about Llewella. I imagine now the new regime is in place, she is 'surplus to requirements' as far as ITV Central is concerned.

Speaking of which, a nice life-sized cardboard cut-out of Jo Malin at the Mailbox's BBC shop, I've noticed Wink

I know about Mr. Warman... it was Bob Hall with Llewela though tonight - the sports presenter! Wink

Its sad that Llewella has left, she has been with Central through all the time I have watched the station, so has Bob Hall, but he has left before...

So the main ones are Llewella, Jo, Bob Hall, Yvonne Gaskill. Sad times at Central, and its worse they had little say in what has been ordered by network bosses. I bet if they were still independent, they would have fought alot harder to keep themselves going.

I'd have kept Llewella and Jo over Bob Boreman any day.

Sad times indeed, but it's still not clear whether Llewela has actually left though as nothing was mentioned by either of them at the end of the bulletin (unless they're going quietly?).

Was great to see them though tonight... will be interesting to see how the future bulletins pan out.

Wonder if we will see Yvonne Gaskill make an appearance somewhere else? You can tell that people "love" her judging by comments on YouTube! Very Happy
