Why are a lot of the regions opting for former reporters to now present the weather?! Confused


It is interesting, considering Emma is now working freelance (and training to be a reporter as well!). Perhaps it's cheaper to get exisiting reporters to multi-task?

Sadly Her Emmanence has not been forthcoming with an answer to your question; as with any true oracle, she speaks only briefly, leaving us with shades of enigma. Or something like that anyway...

Giles Latcham is presenting Inside Out this week.

Also I see Josie D'Arby of former Children's BBC fame has filed a report for the programme, I guess this is a generic cross region report as opposed to just for the Midlands?

By the way was Central News pan-regional tonight or did the East get its own bulletin? ITV local came up with the West's show, then came up with nothing afterwards for the East Midlands.

CNE had its own separate programme. I switched over to check when I noticed Sameena on CNW. New programme is from 16th AIUI from this forum?!


23rd Feb Ive been told.

I take it that the merger has occurred today then, as switching between both East and West at lunchtime resulted in the same bulletin being shown (Claire Lavender was in the East studio - with the Birmingham backdrop).

they've merged the lunch bulletin today (I think cos the 1115 bulletin has now gone), but the 6pm show doesn't merge til 23rd Feb.

I think she's the West presenter.

I heard the trail on WM this morning & it mentioned Gloucestershire.
