Bit random, but about 6 months ago the departure of Chris James from Central News was mentioned but couldn't be discussed for mysterious legal reasons..... have these been resolved?
However Chris James now works for BBC Bristol as a radio presenter and VJ, since April this year.
Chris James , how quickly I forgot him, not a thought. Central news lost one there.....
Radio Bristol and perhaps in time 'Pointless' seem just the right place for him.
Alas I can never find the time nowadays to listen to it to see how he's doing.

I think the reason Chris James was sacked was to do with Central being fined £25,000 for contempt of court, as discussed on the previous page.
Never rated Chris James - his live bulletins were cringeworthy.
I remember seeing him on the early GMTV bulletins in the Central News Studio with orange juice, coffee mugs and croissants/pastries over the table - which like his character seemed over the top.

To which I feel the opposite - he added his own touches which made things different but also in keeping with the whole of GMTV. Oh how I miss his GMTV bulletins.

In keeping with the breakfast theme, he was Marmite-- love him or loathe him I guess
I agree with South Today, I enjoyed his GMTV bulletins. I thought the fruit bowl was inspired, and I found his presenting style engaging.
I think he made a refreshing change from some of the charismatically challenged newscasters that are increasingly dominating regional news these days.I can appreciate why some might find him a bit naff, but at least he made an effort.
Afterall, we're still discussing his telly bulletins at Central-- even though he left there a few months ago-- so he must've done something right
Speaking of which, he may well have well have present the occasional bulletin for
Points West
-- but I'm not sure. He does do a bit of camera-work for some of BBC Bristol's regional output AIUI.
