Any changes been spotted studio wise etc to BBC Nottingham Today ?

Yes - new red sofa, coffee table, white walls.

Wow, Midlands Today finally have a decent set of graphics. How long until they break them by tinkering with them, I wonder.

Poor Les Ross had to bail out from today's WM afternoon show after an hour, cos he felt a bit queer, so he was replaced by Jimmy Franks, who just happened to be in the area.

(I noticed in the warehouse on my way out tonight, that WM was on for a change, rather than the likes of Kerrang, Galaxy & Radio 1 that normally gets put on!
Won't last though!)

Nice to see the HTV logo on Central News just then.

They shown it as a DOG during stock footage of some Welsh mountains. Makes you just wish they'd let us just have a slice of the cake again. Wink

I simply won't comment, in case I get into trouble, not that Les would worry, however.

Hey, Westy, have you seen the new radio forum over at Metropol? Might be a good home for your regular BBC WM updates.

You cant shift his legendary WM updates from TVF.

Anyhow, I'm liking the MT refresh, Satnam Rana is getting out and about again. She seems to disappear off the air for a few months and then come back for a week or two.

I wondered how long it would take for someone to pick up on that comment!
(Aren't I naughty!)

Anyone hear Les's gag today, when he read out the birthdays & mentioned it would've been Saddam's birthday today & wondered where he was?

Shame he didn't read my comment by text 'He's probably hanging around somewhere!, but I suspect it wasn't received by their equipment, for reasons I shall probably go into eventually, once I've got a reply from 'der management' !

(Of course, one certain poster on this forum is being kept up to speed by PM by the way, due to his 'connections' !)

I gather from on air trails, Franksy is looking after the WM election programme on Thursday night, with Flupton live at the Birmingham count.

Has 'Uncle Ed' been forced to give up the election night work for health reasons, or does he have a prior commitment this time, I wonder?

Metropol ? Not until they let you read the forums without signing up, I don't think!

Thanks Greg for the support BTW.

A pity that.

It would be nice to get all the radio chat together, especially as it has turned out that there are quite a few of us with an interest.

What's your specific problem with having to sign up?

By all means, make it a PM reply if you don't want to continue in public.

I don't have a problem with signing up, it's just the fact that if a website forum closes guest viewing, how do you know if it's the sort of site you want to contribute to, if you can't read the forums before signing up!

I did lurk around here for nearly a year, before I took the plunge & signed up in 2001!

Plus, I know it doesn't affect this site, but I also object to certain web sites (The Dr Who Restoration Team Website for instance!) imposing silly rules like you must sign in with your proper name, not an handle.

I used to enjoy posting on there until they stopped people using handles.

I wouldn't mind but I did behave myself on there. If I had been playing up on there, I would've understood!

I still remain unsure what she was doing in yesterdays report. A couple were cavorting in what appeared to be a bath tub in a shop window behind her in an unknown to me high street.

Satnav who was standing outside on the pavement then finished the report by doing a natty perhaps even groovy dance for us. Not a short dance either she was giving it some in the street for a good 20 seconds.

Nick expressed my feelings exactly when he said " I'm speechless"

I wish i could have recorded this strangest piece of MT. Confused
