following on from a discussion in the end-credits thread, i would like to bring it to your attention that the BBC WM studios appear in the video which accompanies su pollard's massive hit "starting together"

How obscure. But fab!

Great song, up to a point Laughing

80's fashion has a lot to answer for!

(Mind you, so does Su Pollard! Anyone remember her advertising West Midlands Travelcards?)

not travel card su - but i remember travelcard suzi! the cartoon woman who would fly around the county on a travelcard. i'm sure they used "wake up little suzi" as the sound track.

which reminds me - anyone remember the WMT buses - which were painted green and had "employee owned" written on the side. what a strange idea that was.

I was chatting to someone the other day I know @ the Beeb and someting I have always wanted to know is, I asked them what the real reason was for Adrian Goldberg leaving WM, and what seems the BBC a whole and they couldnt say.It seems know one knows...

One minute hes on BBC WM doing those annoying time checks every 10 minutes, and hes on Watchdog, and The Politics Show, and the next we have Phil Upton @ Breakfast, and Mr Goldberg dissapears from our screens and Radio... after a press release http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressreleases/stories/2006/04_april/20/adriangoldberg.shtml and is now editing some rather poor excuse for a 'Magazine' called The Stirrer http://www.thestirrer.com/ Seems hes gone down in the world a bit? Confused

Looking at the press release:

"However, we are talking to Adrian about doing other projects for the radio station so it won't be the last the listeners hear from him."

I saw him the other day at New Street Station, he looked rather lost lol.

Watch the Politics Show tomorrow.

I seem to remember Arian being interviewed on Midlands Today sometime last year on a news story, he was representing some kind of charitable organization or something from what I remember.

Upton's back from his hols in Dubai! (He was telling the listeners about his sandcastle competition!)

Did text you know who on Monday, with the comment 'Got a good idea for a competition! Guess when Phil Upton's next day off is? I vote Friday!'

'Westy, I couldn't possibly read that out!', was the response!

Is it me or does Simon Keeling's new glasses make him look like Alan Carr?

Lots of problems with Central Tonight (West), OB problems at the start then sound problems at the end with the weather!

It seems Tyne Tees had the same problems with their dedicated live programme (from the Angel of the North).

The weather sting / sponsor played over the weather forecaster who was talking to the presenter. Then the recorded forecast played as normal.
