EXCLUSIVE: Midlands at Westminster star purchases Magnum

Local midlands celebrity Patrick Burns was spotted in the Tesco store at the Mailbox purchasing a white chocolate Magnum. On-lookers were amazed when Patrick, veteran reporter and presenter, stood in line with the general public, waiting diligently behind the velvet rope until a cashier became free. Patrick pocketed his change and receipt and returned to the BBC offices to consume his well deserved white chocolate Magnum.

Anyone spot WM's Dicky Wilford & Mollie's 'mate' Jane France during one of the 'Stuck in the middle' packages on tonight's MT?

Anyone listening to Mollie sitting in for Les this week?

'People think I'm loopy!'

You said it, dear!

Les made a cameo appearence on the phone, initially under a false name, live from Tamworth.

'I've kept you waiting 10 minutes!!!'

Regular listeners to Mollie, like yours truly, will have heard of a regular contributor called ' No Pancreas Karl'.

'Why's he called ' No Pancreas Karl', Mollie?', asks Genner, the producer.

'He's called Karl & has no pancreas!', Mollie squeaks in response.

They got Karl on the phone & he was drumming along to Toto's Africa! Rolling Eyes

I really must listen to Mollie - it sounds a riveting show - I feel like I am missing out.

I wouldn't bother, why do you think they put her at 5am on when half the region is asleep... cos shes s***. Smile

Only need to shave another 30 mins of her show (if you going to cut it cut, it by 60 minutes not 30 and give all a break from this mad bitch!!) to bring WM in line with all the other Midlands Radio Breakfast shows.

not travel card su - but i remember travelcard suzi! the cartoon woman who would fly around the county on a travelcard. i'm sure they used "wake up little suzi" as the sound track.

which reminds me - anyone remember the WMT buses - which were painted green and had "employee owned" written on the side. what a strange idea that was.

I was chatting to someone the other day I know @ the Beeb and someting I have always wanted to know is, I asked them what the real reason was for Adrian Goldberg leaving WM, and what seems the BBC a whole and they couldnt say.It seems know one knows...

One minute hes on BBC WM doing those annoying time checks every 10 minutes, and hes on Watchdog, and The Politics Show, and the next we have Phil Upton @ Breakfast, and Mr Goldberg dissapears from our screens and Radio... after a press release http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressreleases/stories/2006/04_april/20/adriangoldberg.shtml and is now editing some rather poor excuse for a 'Magazine' called The Stirrer http://www.thestirrer.com/ Seems hes gone down in the world a bit? Confused

Looking at the press release:

"However, we are talking to Adrian about doing other projects for the radio station so it won't be the last the listeners hear from him."

I saw him the other day at New Street Station, he looked rather lost lol.
