Hello All
You guys are my last hope! Did anyone record the incident in the Central Studio with the JCB tough phone and a glass of water? I was a bit busy at the time, but I'd love to see it.
Ahhh, the complex difference between waterproof and splashproof! Laughing

Nice little line from Suzanne

Wonder if there will be a few 'free' tickets around the Mailbox for Luton matches eventually?

Odds & sods now.

Jo Tidman was back producing 'Flupton @ Breakfast' last week, but not for long, as she's 5 months up the duff!

Franksy apparantly now has a beard(Someone(not me!) was up the Mailbox yesterday & noticed).

Couple of references to DLT texted into him, including one from yours truly 'Shame you're not doing breakfast, 'cos we could've called you the 'Hairy Cornflake'!'

Daz Hale told him not to shave it off until Wolves win a match. (Opinions Wolves fans please!)

According to the paper, Gaunt's in town soon, to do his one man show at Brum Town Hall.

Does 'One Man' mean one member of the audience in this case?

Talking of the Mailbox, I did have a wander up on Saturday & noticed besides doing your own weather, you can now do your own news too, & create your own bulletin too, but what's the point of that radio thing in the corner? I couldn't make sense of it!

£9.99 for a BBC T shirt! Having a larf surely? 'Fruit Of The Loom' did the Spar ones ISTR!

Went back past ATV Central too. Sad innit!

'Sad Innit'

I was refering to the ATV Central building, not the T - Shirts , by the way.

Check out Goldie's Stirrer site @ wwwthestirrer.com .

Couple of interesting items there.

Besides an interview with the Talk S***e A***hole, there is more news on the move of certain BBC Birmingham Drama Village shows & it ain't good!

I Know - I used a comma and It was the wrong situation to use one.

It should have been " Yes blood. " And into the line about the T-shirt.

More bad news from BBC Birmingham.

It's bye bye to the 'separate' Late Show for WM (& presumbly CWR too!), as budget
cuts force the Beeb to revert to the previous arrangement of a regional show, albeit from BBC Radio Nottingham(unlike BBC Pebble Mill like before!)

All this happens in the spring, according to both tonight's Birmingham/Black Country Mail & The Stirrer website.

Danny Scouser will continue with his WM Sunday morning show.

I wonder if new managing editor will continue the tradition of appearing on Doolan's show, because that'll be at least 2 topics of discussion, firstly the shortening of the Early Show & the lengthening of Breakfast, now the axe of the
Late Show from Birmingham!

Talking of Mollie, despite being allowed to bring back the 'Animal Slot', she is struggling to find guests that will get up early to talk to her. The previous slot at 635 was ok for most, but no one will speak to her at 6am!

Today she briefly discussed gay animals. My text comment was ' I've heard it all now!'

The other 'infamous' slot, the Metal Detecting, which was axed, the Bloxwich Metal Detecting Club, who normally appeared once a month, appear in tonight's 'Express & Star' in a feature.

Mr Flupton is suffering a bad throat at the mo, which caused him to miss today's Brekky, in fact he's only done 2 or 3 shows this week, due to going to Ireland last weekend!

its a shame bbc mids made no reference to 25 years of regional breakfast news as some other regions did.

my favourite were the "earthquake opts" from the 90s where mike kilbane would sit in front of a CSO screen with a wobbly recorded shot of ironbridge gorge behind, making it look like there was an earthquake.

those were the days.
