From experience(the niece gave me one a few years back!) any loud noise sets the thing off, so you get her on one of her tangents & the thing starts beeping in the background!

I bet some of us were gutted the metal detecting man couldn't get in today because of the weather, but I gather that pleasure will be back next week instead!

Another thing as well, Mollie played 'Let It Snow' at 5am this morning, & when I had a flick round my DAB later, Real Radio were playing Xmas songs!

I didn't realise that Matt Teale was leaving Central Tonight, he just said that he's moving to London. I thought he was a great sports presenter, I didn't know that he'd been working their for over 11 years. I wonder who will replace him?

I wonder if he is going to Setanta Sports News? A big loss, he was excellent on CN

Is it a co-incidence that Chris Ford and Andy Kerr, from ITV Tyne Tees, have left the sports department near the same time Matt Teale has left Central for work in London..

Matt Teale worked on CNE before CNW, so that's what he might have meant by 11 years?

Speaking of which, David Chisnall of CNE left for Sentanta too I believe. It will just be Dennis Coath, Bob Hall and SJ left at this rate

Looks like Bob will be presenting the sport weekdays too, as well as the weekends as he's presenting it now.

snoddy was looking at regional accents on newswatch this weekend - resulting in a few midlands today clips surfacing - but also a special mention for doolan.

Tyne Tees only have 2 left! Simon O'Rourke and Dawn Thewlis, because the 2 I mentioned above have left.
