Bit of WM news now as nicked from the Brum Mail.

Doolan's been in hospital again, to have a new pacemaker fitted, & is making excellent progress.

Meanwhile the show has been covered by Trish Adudu.

Anyone know if the text service has the abillity to 'guess' the texters name, even if the texter does not sign their name, as I sent a text in this morning forgeting to sign my name, but Mollie gave me a mention!

I think the on air phone system has a similar system ISTR.

I knew that the Midlands Today headlines were recorded but the lunchtime bulletin today made it blatantly obvious that they were!

Yep - though at least they don't record the in-vision bit at the top - so that if some news breaks after they've recorded it they can read that live and then link into the rest of the recorded headlines.

Just caught the end of the Central News bulletin and surprisingly saw Bob Hall on the seat! Anyone know why he was there? It would be great if he was back!

caught the end of central yesterday, and who-ever the woman was said "join us tomorrow with our new sports presenter ... bob hall" or words to that effect. which sounds permanent (well as permanent as anything can be at central!!) to me

shame bbc didn't pick up on him, instead of ian winter.

What was weird is that Annette introduced him as 'our NEW sports presenter Bob Hall'. It was great to see him back, I wonder why he dissapeared in the first place.
