10.15 to 10.45pm Midlands Tonight
looks at the news and issues behind the headlines as they affect the people of the Midlands

completely separate to the regional news - which is a listed as 10.45pm. never heard of it, wonder who presented and was a it a weekly thing? perhaps a fore-runner to midlands report?

oh and a nice advert for brmb "community radio is for you!" - with cartoon people on - one of which looks suspiciously like mr doolan, or was he over at radio birmingham back then?

Well Nick Owen is live in Tewkesbury for the 1 o'clock news today reporting about the floods.
I'm not sure if he's doing the whole programme there or whether someone else will carry on the other stories in the studio?

Yes - into what is now ITV West territory, and will be BBC Points West territory when digital switchover comes. (Gloucester and Cheltenham already being well covered by Points West).

There is no Central office in Gloucester - do you mean the ITV West office?

It's just where the edit the packages for the Worcestershire, Gloucestershire & Herefordshire areas etc. so they can send them to Birmingham.
