i think tracey ward from tracey's jailmail should take over the slot - we do not hear enough of tracey IMO. two hours a week is not enough for one of the stations longest serving personalities.

Speaking of weather....

Are CN West doing the weather idol contest that CN East is? CNE are showing a clip of Central's first weather presenter-- there was me thinking that Chaz and Em had done Central weather for ever Wink

I was wondering why Central need another weather presenter - Charlie and Emma seem to manage the full 7 days between them and very rarely need to get James and Ruth to cover from ITV Wales. ITV Wales however need either Emma and Charlie to do their forcasts every weekend/Bank Holiday, and occasionally during the week too.

ITV West seem to have their own team now and dont use any of the Central and Wales weather presenters.

It appears to be just CNE who are doing this "Weather Idol" competition, obviously doing two sub-regions during weekdays is getting too much for Chaz and Em Laughing

On Calendar they're doing a similar contest, but bringing in child labour to do it instead!

Bit of a rushed ending on tonights 1830. Shefali was talking so fast, she sounded russian.

Well now I notice Alex Beresford recorded the Wales weather from Bristol this evening, which I haven't known before -- would have been better if Bob Crampton was in [how old school].

Mind you why Emma couldn't have presented it I don't know, what with people not liking change etc.

Nothing been mentioned on Wales - mind you we have enough presenters with Ruth, James, Charlie and Emma. And tonight we had Alex from HTV West doing the weather for HTV Wales. I think this is the first time he has done the weather on HTV Wales. Who did Central weather tonight?

They could've taken the trail out surely, or was it automatically programmed in?

What caused the 'rush' anyway?

Shefali & Dr David were in Worcester, while Dan the sports man was in Coventry, with the Brollymeister.

(Here's a gag. Anyone hear about the Irish heroin dealer? He was in it for the craic !! )

An Rolling Eyes moment this morning as Mollie mentioned she has now accquired, for her private animal mengarie, 2 rabbits & a partridge called Alan, which caused a few of us to ask 'Why?'

From memory(feel free to correct), ISTR she has 8 cats, 2 rabbits,1 remaining locust & a partridge!

Whether the partridge is in a pear tree or not, I cannot remember, or care!

Whether Mollie is out of her tree is a matter of opinion!

More in tonight's Birmingham/Black Country Mail about the Robert Beckford saga, including more comment from Goldie in the Stirrer & a piece responding to columnist Veron Graham from Herr Flick, Keith Beech, in his capacity as acting Head Of Local Programmes For The West Midlands.

Anyone spot 'Tidders' in Stratford on MT tonight?
