whilst driving this evening i was lucky enough to stumble upon doolan's the other side of peter harris (which i think was originally scheduled for the friday when brum was snowed in).

fantastic programme - great to hear the memories of someone who really was at the heart of the midlands television during its golden age. he worked on bullseye, central weekend, tiswas, family fortunes, spitting image and the muppets amongst other things.

well worth a listen when it gets repeated on wm or bbc 7 (sadly its not on listen again).

Damm I was in the bath, after coming back from Sainsburys, so I missed it!

The Green's back on Monday, for one week, then she's off again!(Obviously she's got to get her time in!)

After Ms Tapper's appearence on Monday, Mr Urquart did the rest of the week!

Morwenna Grills off to Oz for the next few months to see boyfriend down under!(insert your own joke here!)

Was Butler down at Centenary Square yesterday? I only saw Nick & Chinnie on the VT!

TVM - You'll have to post up that bit with the Chinese bird being interviewed by Ashley. Hilarious!

Just noticed. The one You Tube clip above shows the Chinese bird!

This has been airing for a while now. Really creative! Using the 1999 era music again though. Rolling Eyes

Look North Yorkshire have one of those but the music is the current one (only the music at the end - still the same thunderclaps).

The spread of place names highlighted on the map in that promo seems very uneven, with lots north of Birmingham and only Pershore and Rugby to the south.

As a former North Gloucestershire watcher of MT, I'd like to register my disappointment at the lack of Tewkesbury or Cheltenham.

Is it right that coverage of Danny Kelly's fight with Galaxy's Paul Kershaw is going to be on Midlands Masala tonight?

I know there will be a chance to see 'highlights' on Monday's MT.

It's probably a reflection of the fact that BBC Points West is now the regional service for the area.

Not necessarily. If you live in Gloucester and Cheltenham and the surrounding areas, and receive your TV via Sky or Virgin (ex Telewest) cable, then you get BBC Points West. And the Beeb have indicated their intention to provide the same from Ridge Hill after digital switchover to mirror ITV West's current analogue coverage from Ridge Hill to northern Gloucestershire.

Ok I tuned in & suffered Midlands Masala while waiting, but Danny Boy came out victorious!!

I did flick over to Galaxy a couple of times though & they were on music or ads.

Obviously they thought their boy was crap too, or were they being networked too?
