Saw Nick in Birmingham today, and suggested that he needed to "pimp his myspace up a bit". He laughed.

Anyone know what BBC Midlands is doing for CIN this year?
So far I've heard on air that Mollie is dressing up as 'Catwoman'(about 2 years after my suggestion on here that she should have done it for the WM mag interview!)!
Those of you who know bits about her off air will know that she has a few cats at home!
One wag (not me, 'cos I'm having trouble texting into the Beeb for some technical reason at the moment!) thought she meant 'Fatwoman'!
We know she's a big girl, according to the 2004 MT/CIN clip, but uncalled for surely!
Mind you though, I wonder if Eartha Kitt's still alive, then WM could get an interview & Eartha could demonstrate rolling her rrrrs to Mollie on air, which will make a change from Mollie rolling on her a**e! (see CIN clip again!)

Nobody has mentioned the new look late news. Nick says on his blog;
Quote:
am presenting our late bulletin again tonight. We've given it a revamp, so the newsreader is standing up with a background of the big screen and the newsroom. Makes a nice change, but working the autocue pedal standing up is a bit awkward. We have to walk to it first and kind of guess where it is. I nearly missed it last night, but just managed to catch the edge of it!

No WM Early Show until 6am, because Mollie, for the first time, was actually late! (This scruppered her plan of getting in early to decorate Jane France's desk, as it was her birthday today!)
So we had the whole of the 5 to 6am hour of Five Live for a change, but bloody boring though!
Previous 'lates' have involved technical problems !
For the anoraks, you could've had a clean TOTH at 6am too, if you were about with a tape recorder at the time.
Only other presenter that was late for the Early Show ISTR was Shane O'Connor, now of BBC Radio Derby, back in the Franksy era of the Breakfast Show!

There was no Jane France helping Mollie on Friday's WM Early Show (& Phil Upton too!), as on her way home on Thursday, a low loader, according to Mollie, decided to try & make a sandwich with her car in the St Chads tunnel in Brum!
Jane was alright, just shaken, said Mollie, who'd spoken to her later on Thursday. (Not sure how the car was though!)
Stepping in was Anastacia the Yank !
(Bit of an exciting week for a change, eh guys?)
Danny Kelly was live from the Classic Car Show at the NEC yesterday too.
'The Match' has started early at 11am today,to cover WBA v Birmingham City, as well as Liverpool v Villa !
